Stephen King Home
After a few hours driving we ended up in Bangor, the city where Stephen King lives. I had found his address on the internet, so we decided to pay him a visit. Of course we did not have the guts to ring his bell. But there was someone home. There was a car and the gate was open. But unfortunately we did not see the author. We did see his house. Wow!

On our way back to Portland we had to stop at Freeport. Why? Well, here is a store (LL Bean) that is open 365 days per year, 24 hours per day. And yes it was open. LL Bean sells outdoor gear.To our surprise it was not only open, but there were A LOT of people shopping here. Weird? Maybe. On the other hand: we were there as well. After buying new backbacks we headed back to Portland. Downtown, next to the harbor, we found a few restaurants that were actually open. So, we survived Christmas.
