Earlier this week we didn’t do the planned Ben & Jerry’s tour because they don’t make icecream in the weekend. So the first thing we did after breakfast, packing the car en checking out, was going to the Ben & Jerry’s factory for the tour. It was our first stop on our way back to Boston.
To our disappointment, there was no ice making today either. We did the (very short) tour, which was kinda interesting, but nothing special. We were lucky to be the first ones there (our tourgroup was Karin, me, and a small family from the UK). The group after us consisted of at least 30 people…
Our advise: go to a Ben & Jerry’s store, buy some icecream and enjoy it. DOn’t bother doing that tour.
After the tour we decided to take the 100 and do the scenic drive. Not all the way to southern Vermont, because that would take too long. It was indeed a beautiful drive. But halfway we went to the Interstate to get to Boston on time.
We arrived at the Hyatt Regency and checked in. Very nice room. We booked this hotel through Priceline. Paid $90 for this 5* hotel. Good deal 🙂
We didn’t have much time, because the next item on our itinerary was about to start: the Boston Celtics game!
We parked underneath Banknorth Garden so we didn’t have to walk a lot 🙂 We picked up our tickets from the ‘will call’ window and went on another shopping spree… This time we needed Celtics merchandise !
The game itself was fun. The Celtics eaily beat the Washington Wizards, but a basketball game is entertainment. Whenever we’re in Boston, we will always try to catch a game!
The end of the game was also (almost) the end of our holiday. We have one more day in Boston before we fly home. Bummer….
